Event Description

Friday, Oct 19 --- 9 pm EST ( 6 PST)

You are invited to light a candle and reflect as a gesture of love and support for a member of our community, Javi Delgado.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences Javi for the loss of your wife Lala and baby Liliana.

A REMINDER, Javier thanks you for your kind thoughts and prayers, but PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE OR INBOX JAVIER RIGHT NOW, here or on FB or email -- he is just overwhelmed and has asked for some space. We are keeping in touch with ways to best assist and we are sure that your love will convey just as well a little later on. Thank you for understanding.

Ali, Javi left Widville and closed his Facebook account because he needed "space to grieve". He sent me an email before leaving and said how much he appreciated everyone here in Widville but that he was finding all of the attention too overwhelming and that's why he had decided to close out his WV and FB accounts.  I've sent him a couple of emails since then but he has not responded - and I've checked with a couple of WVers he was especially close to and he has not been in touch with them either. I know he has very strong family and friend support in Madrid, and I am believing that he is healing. And I am hopeful that he may return to WV one day.

WHERE IS JAVI?  ANYBODY HEARD FROM HIM? ON MY MIND LATELY.  IT HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS AND WE HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM.

Dianne, I will be sending cards for both of them.  Such heart breaking news about Javier and then to hear about Louise.

Soaring Spirits is collecting love/grace/hope/understanding filled love notes for two people who are struggling right now. Javier lost his wife and newborn daughter (after having suffered this same kind of loss once before) and Louise lost her husband, two daughters, and her home in a house fire seven months ago. They could both benefit from being wrapped in love from a community of stranger friends. We can crack the darkness of grief so that the light of love will filter into that pain filled place of loss. Together we can create a cascade of love that can be held in someone's hand.

Send your love-filled notes to:

My heart breaks for Javi  and the loss of his wife Lala and little Liliana.

I will be lighting a candle and saying a prayer as well.

So saddened ... but will be here for Javi when he is ready to come back to our WV Family.

Always,

Judy
