I am attending and am very excited!  I will finally be meeting a fellow widow that I have been corresponding with on e-mail and chatting on the phone with for almost 3 years!  It's going to be a great time.  I can't wait to make new friends that "get it"!

Joe's Crab Shack is within walking distance of the hotel and yes they have great food and the service will be to your liking Peter, a lot like you :).. nothing meant mean

Yes Dianne, we do share a lot.  It is like the old joke, "we went to different schools together" 

I watch Diners, Drive Ins, & Dives.  there is a great seafood shack in San Diego I want to try.  Maybe we can get a little group to go there the day we have lunch on our own.  I have a van so we can load it up!

Corlene - I was very nervous about attending when I didn't know anyone. But I decided to just jump in an register and now I've met so many here and on FB who are attending. I can't wait to actually meet everyone. And you're on that list, Corlene - we have much in common, you know.

Reading your posts makes me feel better.  I am pretty nervous about attending but I am registered and have the room reserved.  I find that making me do things that are a little uncomfortable helps me keep moving forward.  Reading that I am not the only one who is uneasy about this adventure, really helps my jitters!!  Thanks & looking forward to meeting you ALL!!  After the weekend, I can decide which ones to make exceptions.  :=)

Hi Sleepless!  I'm from Chicago 'burbs too!!  I come in Fri and leave Monday am.  I'm gonna visit with some friends on that Sunday night. Then Monday head up to LA to visit family for a couple days.  Since we are staying the same length of time, Maybe we could room together?  I put my name in that I'd like to share a room already, but we could email them :)  I have not, however, reserved a room yet.  I sent you a friend request.

I am also attending - from Chicago!  Just finished booking my flight.  I plan on staying that Sunday night into Monday too - so hopefully some of you will be able to stay and do some tourist things!  Looking forward to meeting all of you!

 

As for roomate selection, e-mail soaring spirits and they will set you up with a roommate.
