Widowed Village

A community of peers created by the Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation

During my husband's final 3 months of life in the hospital my friend made a quilt for my husband......friends would take a white square & 'decorate' (sew, embroider, monogram use fabric markers) the square with a prayer theme . Then my friend pieced the quilt together and brought the quilt to the hospital for my husband to see. I used the quilt to place over the casket during the funeral.....I sleep with the quilt--it brings me comfort!! I'll post a picture........

What a wonderful idea! I am getting teddy bears made out of Jud's sweaters for me, his two sisters, my daughter and mom. Only my daughter and I know what it will be. I can't wait to sleep with mine!
