Thanks for sharing this. I might make a few for my in-laws!
It looks great! I'm sure it was put together with love.
Permalink Reply by NikkiPea on January 4, 2012 at 3:34am My friends mom has offered to do this for me when I am ready. I wasn't at all sure what I was going to do with my husbands clothes... I thought about donating them but getting rid of them is a really hard thought for me. I'm not ready to get rid of his things. I thought a memory quilt of his clothes would be PERFECT. I could wrap myself in them... it would be practical instead of taking up so much space! I am excited to have this done - but not quite ready to go through his clothes to do so. But in time - it will get done. I'm so grateful she offered to do this for me!
Permalink Reply by jimswife33 (Michelle) on February 20, 2012 at 12:53am I dont have one yet, but Im planning on making two, one from his t-shirts and one from all his other clothes. I dont know when I will start but right now I cant bare to cut up his clothes. Its only been about 7 weeks.
After my husband died, several months after, my nieghbor took the clothing I could not part with and made me a quilt. I love it, it keeps me warm on cold rainy days and in summer it lays at the foot of my bed.
I say do it, it's so worth having. She backed it with a soft fleece.

Yes indeed they are, I was so blessed because I cannot sew a lick.

Permalink Reply by Hahase (Connie) on August 15, 2012 at 4:45pm Hi I put aside his western shirts and othe cotton shirts. A friend is making a quilt of his clothes for my son. I felt it would be good to always have something of his dads with him.
