Share music that means something.
Maybe it reminds you of the past, or you played it at the service.
Or something that inspires you in the morning, or keeps you strong during dark evenings.
We want to hear it!

We played this at his funeral.
the Sam Tsui version of If I Die Young
This one was a thestral song. I loved it and knew all the words but only after Nathan died did I really hear what the song was about. (Thestrals are the skeleton horses in Harry Potter that are invisible until you've seen death and fully accepted the concept of it.)
I found this on a Dawson's Creek episode, of all things.
This song felt like it was written about my exact situation.
And this song
Though I have no idea why... It has nothing to do with death or grieving... maybe it gives me hope?

Permalink Reply by Ariana on October 27, 2011 at 10:44pm Music has helped me through his. Yes it makes me bawl my eyes out but at the end I can breathe a little easier...I've been posting videos on my facebook page like crazy since Felix died...
P.O.D - "If You Could See Me Now" This song is exactly how I feel.
"My soul is alive and so are you.
I'm just trying to pass the time.
It ain't easy without you.
As long as I can try, I'll make it through.
But it might take a while...
Believe me if you only knew."
Alter Bridge - "In Loving Memory" Always gets me...it's so perfect in my situation.
"I've never knew what it was to be alone, no
Cause you were always there for me
You were always there waiting
But now I come home and it's not the same, no
It feels empty and alone
I can't believe you're gone"
Sevendust - "Angel's Son"
"You were fighting every day.
So hard to hide the pain.
I know you never said goodbye.
I had so much left to say."

Permalink Reply by Ccdague on May 14, 2012 at 12:10pm These are the lyrics of a song that was on the finale of 'House' last night. The title of the song was Keep me in your heart.
Shadows are falling and I'm running out of breath
Keep me in your heart for a while
If I leave you it doesn't mean I love you any less
Keep me in your heart for a while
When you get up in the morning and you see that crazy sun
Keep me in your heart for a while
There's a train leaving nightly called "When All Is Said and Done"
Keep me in your heart for a while
Sha-lalala-lala-li-lalala-lo
Keep me in your heart for a while
Sha-lalala-lala-li-lalala-lo
Keep me in your heart for a while
Sometimes when you're doing simple things around the house
Maybe you'll think of me and smile
You know I'm tied to you like the buttons on your blouse
Keep me in your heart for a while
Hold me in your thoughts
Take me to your dreams
Touch me as I fall into view
When the winter comes
Keep the fires lit
And I will be right next to you
Engine driver's headed north up to Pleasant Stream
Keep me in your heart for a while
These wheels keep turning but they're running out of steam
Keep me in your heart for a while
Sha-lalala-lala-li-lalala-lo
Keep me in your heart for a while
Sha-lalala-lala-li-lalala-lo
Keep me in your heart for a while
Keep me in your heart for a while
Permalink Reply by Dianne in Nevada on May 24, 2012 at 1:56am Thanks for posting this, Rose. I loved it and planned to look it up; however, I was in tears at the end of House ... wishing I had done something like he and Wilson did at the end.
