I guess I have a reputation here of putting a positive spin on things. I'll take that. As long as you understand that doesn't mean that this has been easy for me or that I don't have any 'down' moments. That said, I'd like to offer this space for only POSITIVE thoughts ... quotes, poems, photos ... things that may help you to feel a little spark of HOPE when you most need it.
Well as we all do know - death is something vs. "death is nothing at all." I do like these words though:
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
this say it all
Even in the Struggle by Tara Mohr (http://www.taramohr.com/)
Even in the struggle, you are loved.
You are being loved not in spite of the hardship, but through it.
The thing you see as wrenching, intolerable, life's attack on you, is an expression of love.
There is a part of us that fears and protects, and defends and expects, and has a story of the way it’s supposed to turn out.
That part clenches in fear, feels abandoned and cursed.
There is another part, resting on the floor of the well within, that understands:
this is how I am being graced, called, refined, by fire.
The secret is, it’s all love.
It’s all doorways to truth.
It’s all opportunity to merge with what is.
Most of us don’t step through the doorframe.
We stay on the known side.
We fight the door, we fight the frame, we scream and hang on.
On the other side, you are one with the earth, like the mountain.
You hum with life, like the moss.
On the other side, you are more beautiful:
wholeness in your bones, wisdom in your gaze
the sage-self and the surrendered heart alive.

Have just found this song by Michael Bolton We gave it all for love. It is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. The words
seemed just right . "It is written in the stars and my heart. The silent prayer I pray, that words could never say.
I will hold you forever. This lesson that we learn will finally set us free because love is always right and never wrong.
You may have had this here already, Dianne, but I loved it...
Oh, Suz, that is wonderful. Thank you so much. love you, sister.
"People have one thing in common: they are all different."
(This made me chuckle!)
After nearly 7 years I am feeling joy in life again. I am blessed to have a good life. I have had to reinvent myself.
Thanks your post gives me hope Kathy
Congratulations and, yes, thanks for letting us know. You're lighting another candle to help us find our way forward. Best wishes to you.
