Does anyone else have trouble buying Birthday or Holiday Cards? My son turns 16 tomorrow and I broke down in the card section once again. I dread trying to find them now.

Permalink Reply by Dianne in Nevada on August 17, 2012 at 8:26pm I sure do, Jody. I used to really enjoy shopping for just the right card and could spend lots of time in the Hallmark store. I just can't do it any more.

Permalink Reply by Marianne on August 23, 2012 at 5:32pm I am so sorry Jody. I've become one of those people who goes to Petco (where I purchase pet supplies) and buy my cards there. Since I am a animal lover they are right up my alley. It's easier for me than seeing a card directed at husband's and other family member that are no longer in my life. I'm afraid I'd start reading them and become a crying mess. I'm taking the easy way out for me right now. Blessings to you. Marianne

Buying cards was one of the things I put off until I had no choice. I had melt downs in walmart I don't know how many times. Now I make a lot of them on my computer at home so I don't have to stand there and read them.
Permalink Reply by Juliana on September 7, 2012 at 10:16pm I've made it a tradition to buy my husband a card for every event. I write a message in it, seal it, and put it in my drawer. I think that it helps me move forward while not leaving him behind. I also think it will be a lovely surprise for my children after I'm gone
