This is the pool at the host hotel. Looks like a great place for us to gather, don't you think?
Share if you're arriving a day early or staying an extra day. Any other spots you might want to see while in Myrtle Beach? Are you excited about the workshops you've signed up for? Are we in any of the same workshops?
Here's a spot to share, share share!

Permalink Reply by Lee on April 12, 2012 at 12:18pm I am looking forward to meeting my friends at CWE, getting reacquointed with the widows I met last year and making friends with those of you I have not met in person yet. I know we are all going to have a good time and take home a bag full of goodies, like last year.
Permalink Reply by LadyK468 on April 14, 2012 at 11:50am I have been spotty at best on WV and I am excited to go to Camp Widow. But what you need to know about me is that you may say to me.."Kathy! (or ladyk i guess)" and I am the worst at names so that look on my face will mean "Oh no...I have not idea!" But I'm excited to see you all, get to know many of you and then come here and co45ntinue to connect.
I just lost 45lbs and some of my fiends are losing too so i got some great clothes including what I am wearing Saturday night. I'm gonna be brave...I have lots more weight to lose but I'm gonna go sleeveless.
Also glad they are selling Widdow gear to bring home! Leaving some room in the suitcase to pack that stuff.
Permalink Reply by Dianne in Nevada on April 14, 2012 at 12:12pm Don't spend a moment worrying about names, Kathy ... we'll meet up and get acquainted and people who aren't even here in Widville will be there, too.
You should be very proud of yourself for your weight loss ... EXCELLENT!! And I appreciate your bravery in going sleeveless - that's an important step forward!
See you soon!

Permalink Reply by Dianne in Nevada on April 14, 2012 at 1:50pm If you signed up for Camp and didn't receive an email this week from Barbara Frova, SSLF Board Chair and Camp Widow Registrar, send me a message with your email address and I'll forward it. I just discovered mine in an email address I don't check regularly. Some good info and news on the cancellation of one of the workshops.
Permalink Reply by RoseannK on April 14, 2012 at 5:39pm Hi Dianne, I'm arriving Thursday, I land around 11AM. Can't believe we're only days away!
Permalink Reply by Dianne in Nevada on April 15, 2012 at 10:45am I've been checking the weather.com website to see what kind of weather we'll be having and it keeps changing. This morning it's calling for isolated thunderstorms on Thursday and Saturday, partly cloudy on Friday and showers on Sunday, with temps ranging from 72 to 77 highs, and 54 to 62 lows. But there's still time for it to change yet again and bring us some sunshine. And with the ocean right at our doorstep, a little rain and clouds won't spoil a thing. But I do think I'll throw a jacket in the suitcase to play it safe.
What's most important about this coming weekend is that we'll be surrounded by over 100 others who 'get it', who understand what this grief journey is all about. The ups and downs, the good days and bad, the unexpected meltdowns, the memories, the smiles, the tears. We'll learn from the workshops, greet our WV friends, meet other widows/ers who are attending, share stories and hugs and tears and laughter. The weather won't matter one bit.
EDIT: I went to the tab to close the weather.com site and decided to refresh the page first ... it's changed again! Mostly sunny on Sunday now!
Haha.... Dianne the weather will change a million times. But you said it best, just being together will make this trip amazing! Rain or shine!

coming so close now, and I am feeling the excitement now.
I have my baby boy all packed up for his weekend @ gramps and nonnas (my in laws) ---that will be a special weekend for them too. I however, am probably going to under pack, and then go shopping and spend too much. I hope this doesn't happen, lol. Cheers, can't wait to share and heal with you all.
