I had such an amazing experience at Camp East, I HAVE to do it again!! If you're going, are you going early? Staying late? Traveling with anyone?

Hi Carolynne- I am going. This will be my second time- Last year I had no idea what to expect and was still trying to figure out how to be a "widow". I met Dianne in San Diego and it made my trip. Looking forward to getting more involved and meeting more widow friends:) I will be arriving on Thursday- If a group meets up let me know

I'll be flying out about the 7th but will get to camp on Thur. and be leaving on Mon. Then taking a trip through Cali and up to Reno. Should be a good time. I better reserve my room soon. It's coming up faster then I think. Can't wait to see everyone again and all the new people from the west coast.

I'm planning to drive in this year, arriving Thursday afternoon. We need to plan a time to meet up at the pool bar like we did in Myrtle Beach. List your arrival times here and we'll see what time works best for everyone to meet.

I just found this forum and didn't know there was a Camp Widow. I signed up for this year wish I knew about last year. My husband died Jan. 2 2011. I am looking forward to going to this camp. I'm flying in on the 9th and leaving on the 13th

Excellent! I attended the San Diego Camp last August when I was at about 11 months. I also went to Myrtle Beach last month and will be at Camp again in San Diego this year. Guess I'm a Camp Widow junkie. And, yes, you can volunteer even as a first-timer. Be sure when you register that you use the group rate ... being a member of Widowed Village counts.

I will be a first time attendee although i have been a widow since 2009. I wish i had been aware of this website and retreat then. Originally planned to go to Myrtle Beach but plans changed. I will be arriving late Thursday. Looking forward to meeting everyone! Tiffany

I am going. Planning on flying out of Ohare on Thurs AM and staying until Sunday or Monday, not sure yet. Gina and I are going to room together.

I'm so excited to see everyone! I'll be volunteering this time around, looking forward to that. I haven't booked yet but am looking at flying into Orange County the 8th, staying in OC Wednesday night, and driving down to San Diego early Thursday afternoon. I'll stay in SD until Monday and then head back to OC a couple days, probably leave the 14th. Dianne, yes, we definitely need to plan a meetup time at the pool bar again!
