Our Saturday evening banquet has a Widow-Con theme!

We are happy to welcome Kristine Carlson as our Keynote speaker at Camp Widow West 2019.

A New York Times bestselling author and world-renowned speaker, is passionate about spreading her message of waking up to life with joy and gratitude amidst the ups and downs of this earthly existence.

Kristine is known for her unparalleled capacity to be vulnerable and authentic, inspiring her audiences to be the same. She speaks on such topics as living authentically, the power of gratitude, grief, mindfulness, change and transition, and rediscovering joy, passion, and purpose in the various mind and body woes that accompany any time in life but particularly in middle age.

Is anyone planning to stay an extra day to check out San Diego? I would be very interested in finding other Campers who are planning to do that.

There's always some that stay over to Monday - the pool area at this hotel is spectacular and you'll love having some extra time to spend out there. I look forward to meeting you there!

Little Italy (now Little Persia?) is right across from the hotel. great shops and delis for snacks and light meals. Traffic in SD is generally a quagmire. Try to stay off freeways during commute times. The Hillcrest (Art) District is up on a hill form the hotel, it is very walkable and fun. short drive uphill from the hotel.

Hi Diane--are there scholarships to Camp this year? Can a person stay elsewhere? the hotel was a bit intimidating to me. Too much hustle bustle. thanks

We did have some Camperships ... not sure whether there are any left but may have some half-camperships. Worthwhile to check it out. Here's a link to where you can make the request.

I am going. From Illinois.
