No she isn’t sending me the address my mistake in writing when I send the children something for their birthday never acknowledged if I had someone on my side it wouldn’t  be so heartbreaking

Sweetlady, your daughter in law is very kind and caring to send you their new address. I have fibromyalgia, and your doctor can prescribe painkillers. But you will need a proper diagnosis, because some things, like Rheumatoid Arthritis are very very similar. Try and stay as active as you can, because inactivity makes the pain worse, and your muscles will atrophy.

Don, if I remember you live near Redding. How are you fairing with all the  fire?

I am in the middle of winter but still try to do something worthwhile every  day. I also try to go somewhere most days.  I join a mixed group of older people who have coffee together some days, other days I drive to a local beauty spot on the seafront or near the Lake and have some quiet time. I am happy these days just to be alive. The cancer scare changed my perspective on life somewhat. Yes, I am lonely and yes I wish  Ray was with me but I am going to be alone for a long time and just need to be able to fill in my time as best I can. Life is what it is.

Having a pet is good incentive for getting out of bed. My garden has been occupying much of my time recently, and is great therapy. Some days it's ok not to feel positive, we are only human after all. But not too often!.

Woke up to a beautiful sunny day. Why do I feel so lonely?  Me, myself and I just had a little talk and the consensus is to grab a positive attitude and do something productive, maybe outside, and remember one good thing that we had done together and then let it go back into the memory bank and make a new "me" memory for the day. (this is not a particularly memorable day - every day was a good day when we were together)

I wish all of you a "productive" day. HUGS

  • sweetlady. Have you given thought to contacting  your local National Council of Jewish Women in Long Island? Maybe you could check out  activities  there  that would put you in contact with  other  women who are volunteering, making friends, helping community.  Here's  the link to click on for information. This  is one possibility.
