I've probably told this before and apologize if it's a but offensive, but I loved the subtle vulgarity:

Guy on OurTime, 70-year old lawyer, nicely dressed and in good shape, posted "I'm really interested in having a good woman in my life because even though I'm ambidextrous, my hands are getting tired".

Well, at least he was very clear about his priorities!  :-)

I offer my sympathy as well.

Do allow yourself a lot of space, especially since you're new to this experience.

Post and read often. It will help.

Dearest 1212, your loss is unimaginable.  Slick couldn't have phrased it any better.  We are all here for each other.  One thing that helped me daily working through my grief was a book "Living with loss:  One day at a time.  Very helpful in making sense of this horrible tragedy.

I am so sorry for your loss 1212chris. That is a lot to process, so be kind to yourself. I know that's hard to do because I remember my husband's death, which was also sudden. I was so afraid that if I stopped moving, everything would catch up with me. I didn't block out my emotions though. They were always insistent on coming out, which they need to do. I just did too much and wasn't as gentle with myself as I should have been. When people offer to do something for you, take them up on it. Hugs.
