Riskybiz.  To  answer  your  question-  the  crying  and missing him  and  wanting  to  die  will change  with  TIME.  It is  still  very  fresh grief  and  thus intense.  Not  even  a  year.  I,too  had  a long  marriage  44yrs+.  I  will not  tell  you  it  gets  "better"  or "softer"  because  it  did  not  for  me.  But  in  the  eight years since he  died  unexpectedly...things  changed...everything  changed you will  find  things  do  change as  time  moves on.  Likely you  are  right-no one will love you  like  he did but  the  point of  living is  now  about  being  loving  towards  yourself  and others. He  cannot  be  replaced.  No one  can.  But  loving is being  unselfish  and looking  to be a  blessing yourself  to those  you  know  and  love  as well as  strangers.  By  example  show how  love  cares  by  helping others. Stay  active and look  for  the  small  everyday  blessings  to  nourish  you. Not  easy.  Not  what  you  feel  like  doing  but  do it  anyway.  What  we  think about  expands  so  give  thought  not  just  to  your  loss  but  to  things  that  enrich you and  coax  your  love  to expand  without  your  husband  still  here to  support  you.  Truth is  not your  feelings.  Truth is  fact and reality  and so much  more.  Give  it  more  time....And  think  on  these  things  to  help  you:

Today is my birthday, my first without Rick.  He has been gone almost nine months.  This is the first time I have had a birthday without him in forty seven years.

I read the paper today as I always do.  In the horoscope section it says for todays birthday,  "Love flowers anew this year.  Steady action gets results.  Barriers disrupt travel and education.  Prioritize passion, fun and romance.

Can anyone on this board tell me how to stop crying, missing him and wanting to die?  What's the point?  There will never be another man who loved me ad much as Rick did.  NO ONE.

He was so right, the first one to die is the lucky one.  The survivor is screwed.

Thanks for listening me vent, I am so tired of all this.  His death, the pandemic, the hatred in this country and the political unrest makes me so sad.  I just want to be with Rick.

* How many languages you speak: This depends upon skill level. English is my native language and I can do reasonably well with both German and French, having studied both languages for many years and having spent an academic year abroad in West Germany some forty years ago...which also gave me the opportunity to travel to France. I have studied other languages with varying degrees of success, but, as I use them less frequently--or not at all [and who speaks either Latin or Koine Greek these days? :-) ], I don't think I'll include them in the total count.

* Waffles or pancakes: pancakes
* Farthest travel: Geographically from Cleveland is Uluru/Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia (about 10,000 miles)
