We have a Soaring Spirits regional group in MINNEAPOLIS. Contact Renee at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Hi, I live in SE Maplewood, across 494 from Woodbury. My husband died 8 months ago from pancreatic cancer at age 77.
We have a Soaring Spirits regional group that meets in Eden Prairie twice each month. You can reach out to the group leaders, Renee & Kristin, at email@example.com - and see their events posted here in the Village: http://widowedvillage.org/events/event/search?q=minneapolis
Doris (NorthShoreDreams) I live in Marshalltown, Iowa but visit Des Moines often enough. I don't know if there are others close by but I would love to get a small group together if it would work. What are your thoughts?
Doris - Hi I would love to meet for coffee sometime and try and find others to meet as well. I have sent you a friend request on the main page. I lost my husband in August of 2014 from lung cancer. He was only 57 as was I. The one year anniversary is fast approaching and causing my increased grief, any suggestions? I will be leaving town the end of this week for several days but maybe we could choose a place and date in Des Moines or even Altoona if that would work for you sometime in September? Have a great week. JoAnn

Heart 1980 - this is a rough journey and it is a club no one wants to "join," but look around on this site. You will find lots of people with similar backgrounds or interests. Throw out a question or topic in one of the groups, and you will begin connecting with other widows. I am part of the Long illness group, the born in the 50's group and the loss in 2014 group. I think by the far the most talkative discussion (for me at least) has been the "solo travel" forum. God's blessings be on you today.
