25 years ago todayatoday geeky young man walked in to my office to pick me up for our lunch date.

He was adorable, sweet, and he had the best smile. I married him.

Two weeks ago, Barry fell in to a coma and I never saw that smile again.

We were looking forward to our 25th date-aversary.

Hi CatCo, I am so sorry for your loss, 25 years is a long time,  I know how hard it is, and how much it hurts.

8 weeks ago today my wife of 35 years passed away. Milestones have been really hard for me, I clearly remember week1, week 2, week 3 ...  and now week 8.  In-between those weeks we have had Mothers day and my Granddaughters first birthday.

I too am really new to this but so for I have found corresponding with people on this site, writing about it and talking to others helps a tremendous amount, but does not take away hurt or loss. I have connected with a few people on this site and we exchange emails, I am so glad we do, it helps me get through the days.

I think those freaking Facebook memories are making this harder.

completely understand and relate.  My husband passed on 20 March. We would have been married 28 years this week.  As Larry mentioned below, this site is really helpful and people have empathy as they are also grieving.  One day at a time.
