The Stroke

The End of my World

I've just passed the 2nd deathiversary and it is harder right now than it has been so far.

October 4th, 2009, 2 days before our daughter's second birthday, but 2 hours after the conclusion of her birthday party, which even though she was virtually catatonic those last few days, I know its what she was holding on for.

I was widowed September 20, 2009. And Barb, I completely agree with you. I'm finding it harder this second year. Same thing - the fog has lifted. I suppose this is the brain's way of helping us along this path. There is only so much we can handle at one time...

I was widowed September 3, 2009.  I have found it harder during this second year so far.  I guess it was because I was numb and really don't remember a lot about the first year.
