Cee, Celebrate him.  I hope the day will be filled with more love than sadness.

Another year without my special man.  I still miss that special smile and gentle caring ways.

You CAN post photos here in this group, Barzan.  In that row of icons above the box where you type your post, you'll see LINK in the first box and then an image in the next box (the 3rd box is for videos). Click on that image box and it opens up to a page where you can upload a photo from your computer to be placed in with your post.

Princess.  Too bad we can't post pictures on here.  It would be so nice to see pictures of happy beginnings.  Not implying that it would not continue that way.  LOL

LucyGoo,  That is wonderful for both you and your granddaughter.  It will probably be an adjustment but will likely be a great thing for both of you.  You will really get to know one another and she'll have beautiful memories of your time together years down the road.  Best to stick around for a long time though.

Another fan of Fall here!  Maybe it's the whole "back to school" thing, but it always seemed like a time for new beginnings. And this year I really do have one.  My grandddaughter is moving in with me!  She plans to attend college very near me starting in January and living with me was likely ("better food and free"), but unexpectedly happened on a good job just about a mile from my house!  So, we had been planning on a move and getting the room ready, but Saturday is the day!  I'm very excited - I think it will be good for both of us.  But, I am also a bit apprehensive as I have been alone for a long time now and am a bit set in my ways!  She a her "BFF" have stayed over before and it was so lovely to hear laughter and giggling in this house again that I'm holding onto that feeling.

Barzan and Chef have opened the discussion.  What is your favorite season now and why?

Summer is still hanging on here.  It is has been close to 90 almost everyday for a week.

I do like the fall.  It seems as if it should be a time of new beginnings.  I am sad when the summer produce is over at the farmer's market.  I love the watermelon and summer squash.

Barzan and Chef,

Thanks for your well wishes.  Everything went well at my son's wedding.  It was a magical day.
