I didn't know that when some one left the group or WV all of their posts would be deleted. It is sad to loose members who are willing to share and help others. Deleting the messages also takes away the good advice they have given us.  This is the first time I have seen that happen.  On the other side I see names of people still listed that have not posted in several years. I find that disappointing when I find someone in my area or with my interests.

I am not one of the most active posters but do try to read.

Hugs, Barzan, as you deal with your mother's situation.

My mother died recently and I am now in a parent/child reverse situation with my eighty-four-year-old father, helping him deal with being widowed.

I noticed the disappearance of Slick's postings, but I didn't know what had happened.

Barzan I’m sorry to hear about your mom.

Slick, I don’t see any of your posts.  I hope you don’t stay away long. I love you sharing how you husband greeted you each morning.

Slick, I would have written earlier to your sad post but my Mom had a stroke a week ago and I’ve dine nothing but be at her bedside, check her mail and take care of things for her.  I really hope you hang in there with us.  I have always valued your posts and shared with you.  I’m sure I speak for this group that each of us is part of the whole and no one is more important than the other.  I really hope you stay with us.

Yes, Cee, I *REALLY* do ride roller coasters! (My favorite is still Millennium Force [310 feet high and speeds up to 93 mph], but I ride several of the others at the park too.) The drive from Cleveland to Sandusky is about 90 minutes, and (being a single rider) I can get pulled out of line to fill empty seats on occasion. Another advantage to having a season pass is that I can leave the park and have lunch or dinner outside the park and get away from the crowds, should I feel so inclined. I haven't been doing it as much lately, but I've been occupied with other things.

Here in the Western Reserve we are in the upper 80s or low 90s, depending upon the time of day. The humidity is high, so most of us are miserable. Things may cool down after the rainstorms predicted for this afternoon and early evening.

Good morning peoples. We are here to support each other, it makes me sad to see a post that a member feels she is not being recognized.  Even if we can't help in all situations we can at least offer a word of support.

Slick how can we help you?  I have seen posts where you have been so open to helping other people and that is why we are here.  I love the beautiful lady comment. Those are the memories that are so bitter sweet - glad to have them but sorry that are not still happening.

John do you really go on those roller coasters?  I remember going on the ones on Coney Island NY but that was a long time ago - no more.

I am lucky to have a couple of "couple" friends that I do things with that do not make me feel uncomfortable but I do have that feeling that something is missing.

How is the heat where you are? we are having heat indexes of over 100 so I am stuck in the house. I even cancelled volunteering at the Folk Festival which is something I look forward to. Hope it cools down later in the week so at least I can go over and look around.

I'll close with HUGS to all --be good to yourselves and to others.

I hit 7 years yesterday.  With my girlfriend and MIL along, we have been spending the week in Philly and filling each day with lots of sightseeing and interesting activities that have been so therapeutic in passing a milestone. Family, friend, laughter and wine helped make the 7th a bit easier.  More.family arriving today.

Cee:

No plans for the summer this year...although in the past I've been known to ride many and several roller coasters (notably Millennium Force) at Cedar Point for therapy with my season pass from May through October. As of next year, I shall be a "senior" [age 62 by CedarFair rules] and once again get a season pass--at a *reduced* price! :-)
