I took this just a day or so before Patrick got really sick. At the time Patrick laughed because I took the picture, but now I'm so thankful I have it.

oh gosh...i have a pic of me holding my G's hand after she died but before the funeral home got to the hospital. i'm so sorry. peace to you.

What a treasure, Sam. Oh how I wish I had thought to take a photo like this. I held Vern's hand during his last hours as I lay next to him in his hospice bed. And I always held his hand whenever he was in the hospital so he would know I was there during those very tough times.
