social security for minors

Does anyone know what happens to the social security when a child turns 18?  My children are 11 and 13 and I know that when J turns 18 she will know longer receive SS, will my son receive her…Continue

Hi....glad to accept your friend request.....and I m so sorry for your loss...
My name is carol.....I live in Raynham....fairly lose to Walpole....I'm midway between Boston and providence..
My husband died in march 2012 following a 3-year battle with melanoma........it's never easy.
I would like to get a New England group together....there are quite a few of us close by. Haven't framed up a date or time....want to make sure the weather is going to cooperate!

Welcome 3Janda: I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad you found your way to this site. I hope you will find the same comfort and understanding here at Widowed Village that I have.
