A "Grave" Situation

I am not there. I do not sleep…"


Thus begins a famous and beautiful poem written in 1932 by Mary Elizabeth Frye; a verse that my late husband Mike had shared with me while battling his illness. He believed in the message and philosophies of that poem with all of his heart…as do I.

I'm not talking about comparing ourselves to the impossibly perfect images that we see in the media (how many times have I thanked G-d for airbrushing); but rather the comparisons that we make in our everyday lives.

Thank you SO much for your phone call two years ago. I was truly devastated by Mark's sudden death and felt so isolated and in pain. (A doctor actually gave me a diagnosis of 'grief and loss at the karmic level'). I am slowly rebuilding my life one day at a time.
