From my experience, some people won't contact you til a few months later down the road. I don't think they are avoiding you, just they don't know how to handle it. Some will tell you one thing and you might interpret it the wrong way. So just take it easy and know that they'll be usually one or two person you least expected to help will actually be there for you. Or maybe someone from this website will. Hugs.
