A belated welcome! I have very special feelings for the UK, having visiting a couple of times. A wonderful place!
I see you lost your husband from a Long Term Illness, a type of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I lost Jud to Pancreatic Cancer of fourteen months. We had been married thirty seven years. I will spend our anniversary at the wedding of the son of a dear friend, whom we have known since he was a baby. Part of me is asking why he is getting married on "that" day and yet I know it just happened.
I'll be thinking of you today on your six month anniversary. Jud's fourth was on the 24th. He lost his best friend to Mutliple Myeloma on December 24, around the same time as your husband's death.
I am so sorry this has happened and wish that the world had more solutions to cancers!
Fondly,
Suz

Joyce said… Welcome Disflop: I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad you found your way to this site. I know you will find the same comfort and understanding here at Widowed Village that I have. In the beginning I just read the blogs and posts and lurked in chat. Post and join us in chat when you feel comfortable. It is nice to be among people who "Get It".
