Hi Rob. I am recently widowed and also looking for a group of sorts that can relate. Widow groups seems to be older and not necessarily dealing with lone parenting. Do you still go to the meetup events? I just signed up and only found one in Edmonton- none for widows with kids though.
My kids go for grief counselling/support at Briar Patch but the parents i met there did not lose a spouse. So hard to find people who really 'get it'. That's why I like this site. People echo my thoughts and I know I am not the only one out there in the same boat. Anyhoo- i really just wanted to ask about the meetup group and what it's called.
