Wayne's One Year Angel Anniversary at New Jersey

May 20, 2013 from 6am to 11pm
It's been one year since my darling Wayne earned his angel wings. To honor him we are "Paying it forward for Wayne"  If you'd like do something good for someone in need.  Maybe walk an elderly gentleman across the street.  Or call a friend with whom you've lost touch. Or maybe just smile at someone new that day.  If you'd like , you can let me know about it. (I have to thank Kelley Lynn for this idea :)  Hugs to all See More

Hi Jerry, thanks for "friending" me.  Cancer is rough indeed, for everyone.  Kathi will have been gone 3 years in August, and while the searing pain is gone, I still miss her every day.  I am learning to live with this "new reality" one day at a time.  Be good to yourself.

Best, Mike L.

I'm sorry that you're having a difficult time Jerry, I hope that more time will help. My wife told me on the day of her "terminal" diagnosis just before Christmas, that I have her blessing to live life, take care of things, and that included meeting someone new, I'm still fairly young. It was difficult for me to here that, and only time can allow us to move on with our lives, everyone does it at their own pace. Just take it one step at a time.

I totally understand keeping busy or putting others before ourselves. We seem to evaluate everything now with open eyes and find reminders of what strengths our loves one saw in us that endured them to us but we never really thought a second about because we did what came natural to us. I believe I notice things and volunteer to assist more to feel some since of normalcy once again.

Stand Strong,Take Care!

Hi Jerry, thanks for the friend invite.  I guess you are right about the treatments maybe made his last little while a bit better.  I wish now that he would have decided to not have any treatments at all and just live out the life that the good Lord gave him.  I think he would have had a better quality of life.  Its all water under the bridge now.
