Lori thanks for the friend request. That picture is quintessential Mark. Video camera around his kneck, Hawian shirt, and smile. He always had a spring in his step when he was outside exploring new sights. This was taken after we took a LONG hike down a very steep hill with our two sons and three of their friends last summer. It was a beautiful place where we had planned to try camping this past summer - but that was not mention to be :-( Maybe when the boys all get older I will be braver and strong enough to go back and do it. For now the memories of that wonderful day will have to suffice.

My husband died a little over 2 yrs.

I hope the next crisis is a long way off (((hugs))). I'm glad you have such a great support network! My family and most of my friends have been wonderful, we're both in counseling, and we start grief support through Hospice on the 7th. Just in time for a rocky month full of 'firsts'....my birthday, our wedding anniversary and his birthday are all in November....and then the holidays : ( Are you planning to celebrate your holidays in the usual way, or are you doing something different? We usually went to my mom's one day, his mom's the next; I'm debating skipping all of that and flying back to California with Randy to be with friends.
