so my kids went to grief camp this weekend! They had an incredible time. We were so blessed with the opportunity for them to go! We got home at 7:30pm! At 8:05 my best friend called saying her husband was having chest pains and that she was at dinner with a friend and was heading home to him. I got there right after she did and drove her husband to the hospital as she had a few drinks at dinner and had been driven home by her friend! So I lost my husband to a sudden heart attack 27 days ago.  We were married for 13 years and have 3 amazing kids.  We got married 4 times so we just celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary.  We had a beautiful last night, couldn't have asked for a better last night.  We drove an hour to his favorite restaurant, which is just not something we did on a school night at 6:30 at night on the wet roads of Los Angeles ( it never rains in LA and people just don't know how to drive in it).  But we…

So sorry for your so recent loss. At first you think  you will never smile again, or do so many things again, like wear your lingerie. I had that same feeling about cooking. I was collecting recipes and would ask him, "Do you think you would like this?" And I saved so many in a notebook. When I looked at it one day, soon after he was gone, I thought I would never cook again, but then I started having people over and  cooking for them. I think that was a turning point for me. Someone said that we never get over it, but we get through it. And it doesn't get easier, we just get used to it. But our lives will get bigger...
