I mentioned this in another forum, but would like to bring it up again. People are really starting to ask me if I am getting back to my old self, and if I feel normal again. It's been 15 months, and…Continue

Sanmora replied to Supa Dupa Fresh's discussion Widow(er) brain: what's the dumbest thing you've ever done by accident?
"So many things. I think I spent the first year in a total fog. Right after Jim died, people kept bringing food. One friend brought a pan of scrumptious cinnamon rolls. I took one out, put it on a plate, and then put the entire metal pan, covered…"

Sanmora replied to Robinmo's discussion Is the second year really worse?
"It's been a year and a half since I lost my husband and a little over two years that our son died. I lost both suddenly and unexpectedly. I'm worried now that I will never be a nice person again. I was in such a fog for a long time, but…"

Sanmora replied to Sharrona's discussion Surprised by this one.
"Crazy the things we miss. My husband and I voted together ever since we were old enough to vote. (McGovern!) He loved to argue politics and I really miss him keeping me informed this election. Voted today, made me sad."

Hi, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I had kind of a hard time over the one-year anniversary, and haven't been spending much time here. This whole process sucks, but it's good to have friends. Sometimes Widville is the only thing that keeps me sane. Big, big hugs to you.

Hi Sanmora, Thank-you for the friend invite. My head hurts (it always hurts when I cry) from reading about what happened to your husband, so fast and so recent and then your son. I'm so, so sorry. I sure hope you have some friends and family who can be with you thru this dark time.

I cried every day all day for months after my son passed. I'm kinda used to it now that my husband is also gone. I hope you find encouragement here at WV to face every day. Thinking of you, Braunie

Welcome Sanmora,I am so sorry for your loss...but I am glad you found us. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in Feb. and passed May 14th. I understand how painful this is and how lost you most feel. You have come to the right place...I thank everyday for finding all the careing people here. Just talking to others that truly understand what were going thought is such a comfort. I hope you find that as well.
