Almost 3 weeks

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks that my Billy died suddenly at our son's wedding.  Went through the wake two weekends ago, went to our nephew's wedding last weekend, which was very hard for our grown children but they went (they left early but went), got a new grand-son born yesterday.  Today is the burial of the cremated remains or whatever they called this box with what is no longer my husband in it.  It's in my car trunk, I can't even relate to it as part of him, he's gone and not in…

My roses  October 19th

Dear Sophinette.  I feel for you... this is such a terrible moment in the journey.  My husband passed away on 19th January he was the love of my life.   When the first numbness wears off - the raw pain can be impossible.  Also the shock for you of Billy passing away at a wedding which is all about joy and new beginnings.  Stay with this site and pour out your heart.  I have found that every thing I have felt or agonised about has been written by someone else on this site.  This is a place where we can go when no one else, not even your nearest relatives understand.  Find something of Billy's that you love and snuggle up to it.. a shirt, a jumper, anything.  I hug one of Wes' jumpers when I go to bed.  I have had a vision of Wes and so has his sister.  Somewhere, somehow you will know that his presence is around.

Much love  and blessings

Welcome Sophinette: I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad you found your way to this site. I hope you will find the same comfort and understanding here at Widowed Village that I have. In the beginning I just read the blogs and posts and lurked in chat. Post and join in chat when you feel comfortable. It is nice to be among people who "Get It"
