Hi Dan,

It was so great talking with you. I am glad I called. Thank you for the advice on picking up Brian. I know that's going to be emotional, so I will definitely have a friend go with me. What a great story about the Hacienda turning into a gay bar and you having a beer there. I agree that Brian and Fred are still with us, in a different way, but with us. I am still not used to the fact that Brian will not return home. It's so hard to absorb, which is why I think I am taking things very slow. I am here for you as well - any time - day or night. Just text or call if you need to talk and I will do the same. Sweet dreams my friend....

Hi Dan,

I too am sorry for your loss. This is the hardest thing I have ever experienced and I am sure you must feel the same way. Today was a very difficult day for me. I am feeling overwhelmed with so much to do and no energy or desire to do it. It seems like when Brian died, my responsibilities doubled, but my energy level decreased about 80 percent. I wish the world would just stop and let me grieve, but it doesn't, that's for sure. I am very glad I found this website so I can talk with people who are in my shoes walking my walk. I also joined a grief support group once a week and hope to find some people there as well. It seems like the rest of the world has no clue what I am going through. It's all so surreal to me. And I miss Brian so terribly. Thanks for being here and for letting me share with someone who understands. I don't know how I would get through this without other people like you. Thanks so much.

I am so sorry for your loss Dan. I lost my partner/husband of 25 years just several weeks ago on August 4. I am in so much pain and heartache, just trying to put one foot in front of the other. I hope that we can be helpful to each other as we navigate our way through this grief.
