Profile Information

Debbie decided that she wanted to die at home after we were told that the cancer had metastasized  to her brain. We remain alert for most to 4 weeks that she was at home but could not express her self but in the simplest way, no, yes, I love you and wait a minute. Before that she was a wonderfully articulate woman. Those 4 weeks were precious, but heart wrenching. I was able to care for Debbie, with limited support from palliative home care. I held her hand until she was gone.

So sorry for your loss. I can understand your feelings although my beloved died 7yrs ago this May. We knew from the beginning when she was first taken ill with multiple myeloma that there was no cure. Luckily she was home most of the time and with the help from our local hospice I was able to be with her at the end. I still miss her very much but I find some some help in knowing she is no longer in pain..Friends have been very good'  Maggie
