Diane, My Hubby died of IPF on 4/4/12. We only found out he had it in Nove 11. No symptoms. Then we went to UPenn lung center in February. The specialist said he had 10 years to live , unless he got a "flare" or "exacerbation". Sure enough the end of March, we thought he had pneumonia and the pulmonologist at the local Hospital said "get your affairs in order, he doesn't have long. It's not pneumonia, it's a flare"He died in 36 hours. I am really still in shock. No cure for this disease! No treatment! nothing!
What happened to your Husband? My Husband worked in the metals and resins industry. I think that had something to do with the IPF.
