My life forever changed on 29 October 2011. My husband of 20 years, my love, my life, passed away in his sleep. How could this happen? He just had a second back surgery on 25 October 2011, and was released from the hospital the next day.He was a Gulf War Veteran and had alot of medical issues from his military service time. I felt the same way as you, I needed someone that could understand me and all of the emotions that go with the loss of a spouse. My friends couldn't and still don't understand me at all. This loss is like no other, If they haven't "lived it" they will never "get it". You will find great comfort here, I know I have.
