No thanks

My husband Tom passed away on Sept. 5th, 2012 at our home after fighting cancer for two years.  He was only 56 years old.  I am devestated to say the least, we had only been married for one year and together for five years.  A short but passionate partnership.  He was my best friend, we went rockhounding, camping, hiking, played cribbage daily and just enjoyed each other's company.  He was my Mountain Man, actually I named him Strong Dumb Man, when I met him.  I mean that endearingly too.  I was his Good Squaw.  We both rode motorcycles and loved to just take off and go riding for the day.  I am broken and so sad from this loss.  Enough for now.

The cloudy mind thing is a common feeling for all of us going through grief. As you read about others experiences on this site, I think you'll find many other things we all have in common. I encourage you to read the discussions (maybe even comment) and some of the blogs. You'll feel as though you're looking in the mirror, I'm sure. I'm available anytime you'd like to talk. It's baby steps, don't be too hard on yourself.
