What got into me today! Bought a new car!

I don't know what really got into me today but I finally decided it was time to replace the car my husband bought and loved and bought one for myself. It was a little hard to see it go and now I'm wondering if I did the right thing. It was 11 years old and in need of some repairs, but it still looked good and ran quite well.  Of course there's no going back. I've been thinking about getting a new car for a while, I was just trying to decide when the time was right and what to get.  I guess the…See More

What a way to celebrate a birthday

Posted on February 5, 2013 at 9:01pm 7 Comments

Well I was all set to go out to lunch with my daughter and the twins. One of the boys ran out the front door( they are 2 1/2) I ran after him, tripped and fell hard on the driveway , the result a broken right ankle, broken left hip and broken bone in my right arm.... Surgery was the next day , 3 screws in the hip. I can walk w/ walker. Now in rehab. Living alone makes things hard. Luckily I have some friends to help out, but will need someone with me for a while. It's times like these when you… Continue

Just when I think I'm doing just fine, memories come back.  My birthday (64) is coming up and I remember when I turned 60 i gave my husband a choice, a party at home with friends or a trip to San Diego to spend it with our daughters and dinner out.  After a nice dinner at Roy's with the family, my husband made a comment that maybe the party would have been cheaper.... He's been gone for 2 1/2 years now and  I still remember that night.  I think we had one more dinner at Roy's before he left…
