roamer...one yr ago mar 30th I sat as you did..at my beloved husband's gravesite.  He had served in the army.  I have the flag they gave me encased  and frequently look to it remembering his love of country...we buried him in a private cemetery next to my father.  Your photos take me back to that day.  in some ways I miss him even more since that day. Longing every day my best friend was still with me. 44yrs.  Lost.  Even when you know they would want you to go on and be happy  the heart  says not yet...may be never.  My prayer to you and thanks to your wife for her service to our country.  Laurajay   just joined here 5 days ago

Hello Duane.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I never really know what to say but welcome to  this site.  It is so very hard for people who have not lost their significant other to understand what your going through.  People here all have lost their love and understand.  I lost my husband on Easter Sunday 2012. He was born in 1957, he was to darn young and so was your lovely wife.  The people on this site have helped me get through the darkness so far.  For that I will be eternally grateful. When you are ready, read the blogs, write a blog or join in on the chat or just read the chat.    If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I will do my best to help you.  I will send you a friend request, if you wish you can accept.
