Yeah, but Dude... this one works. This one always works. It just requires another long wait.
So sauce it up in there, K?

I don't know how I missed your comment...didn't mean to be rude. Work has been so crazy since I got back that I haven't had much time for anything else. I enjoyed Reno immensely, totally different that what I expected from a casino town. Maybe that was your introduction to the town...made it seem like a real town with real people that just happened to have gambling as an industry. I'd expected a town that totally revolved around the casinos and the gamblers. I hope to come back sometime and this time, I WILL get to see the lake.
I don't think WorldCon will be in the West for a while...Chicago next year...San Antonio the following year...London the next...the next (2015, I think) Orlando and Spokane are seeking the bid. You might want to consider San Antonio...one of my favorite places in Texas.
As I said I've been working madly...getting ready to do an inspection in Tulsa on the 16th...and doing a big upgrade on the document control software package. Mother and brother are visiting from 9/22-9/27. So lots going on. Signed up for a grief recovery program in October and November...I've heard good things about it...so am hopeful it will help. I did well...sorta, anyway....yesterday. Dennis died on 1/1 and I've had a terrible time the first of each month since. At least I didn't melt down completely yesterday. That's progress, right?
What have you been up to?...as ever...marcy

I've never actually been to a casino town but I've been hearing about the buffets for years. Lunch sounds like a lovely idea. You choose your favorite place...I'm not picky. I've found that having something different to look forward and do on those special days helps some. That way, at least, I don't completely fall apart.
I know nothing about the area so I'll be interested in anything you can tell me. How do you want to meet up?...marcy

None of my family really understands completely how deeply I feel her absence, but among them they reflect many of the emotions I have felt over the last year. Numbness was my first reaction. The day I feared for the last five years had come. Barbara went into a hospital and would not come home again. My mother asked me if I knew what I was doing marrying a woman 12 years older with five preteens when I was 25. I assured her I did. Though I know now that as mature as I was in my…
