Put your right hand in
Put your right hand out
Put your right hand in and shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around
Thats what its all about.
Given a chance I can compare my life to pretty much anything, a toy, a place, a car, a food. I am weird like that.
For some reason this song has been stuck in my head lately, so naturally I start to compare my life to this song.
Yeah, I know, I am weird like that.
I put my right hand in : meaning I am reaching forward
I put my right hand out: meaning, nope a little scared
I put my right hand in and shake it all about: meaning I will move forward again and shake up my life
You do the hokey pokey and you turn your self around: meaning as usual I am going in circles while staying in one spot
Thats what its all about: meaning who the hell wrote this song in the first place? Because it makes no sense whats so ever.
All the energy it takes to put yourself in and take yourself out and turn your self about. To always end up in the same damn spot. Even when the song gets to the part where you put your whole self in, you still take your whole self out.
Meaning I am going to blast some Bon Jovi, take a ride on my steel horse (well maybe just a ride in the truck) and try and remember all the words to Its My Life. Much rather compare my life to that song. And get this hokey pokey business out of my head. LOL
