This is from a card I received after my husband died.
I'll collect my tatters, the perfect pieces of me, and notch them together in an informal pattern just to suggest myself. Then I can start the welding process, and in a short breath, I'll be fine.
Well, it's been more that a short breath and I'm not yet fine, but there is progress.

So glad you can feel the progress, it's great to know that ''stuck'' can be left to doors and pigs...
Comment by Susan J on July 6, 2012 at 8:43pm Lynne, It has been just over 2 years for me. I am a different woman that I was BEFORE. I hope I am a better woman and more compassionate. I put those perfect pieces of me together in a different way. To say the least, the process has been interesting. I've looked at it as one more challenge. I am a project.
Comment by Lynne on July 6, 2012 at 8:36pm That sentiment perfectly describes how I'm feeling right now, too, so thanks for posting it. "My tatters" is an apt description, for sure, and I love the idea that, right now, what people see is merely a "suggestion" of who I normally am or have been. You're right, there IS progress and I think that's about as much as we can ask right now. Wishing you all the best. Lynne
