Just a shout out to those more recently widowed.

It's been 5 years for me. We were married for 28 years. For most of us, things do improve with time. We adjust to this "new life" and we have such a sense of gratitude for so very much! Wishing all the best for you!

There are so many possible combinations in this world.
We travel here, there and everywhere!
We meet so many people.
We do so many things.
We make so many choices.
And so many random things happen.
I'm so grateful that we found each other.
Many of our plans didn't come to past.
But so many of our dreams did.
What a life we had.
You chose me.
We chose each other.
So much to be grateful for!

Hi Mac, thanks for sharing this. I am 8.5 years out, and although I still struggle with this new life, I'm so grateful too for what I had with my partner for over 30 years. It carries me through my day to day and gives me strength most times to keep going.
Take care
