I know many of you from Chat know that one of my Minature Pinschers Molly who is 15 was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.  She has been doing pretty well on her medications.  I noiced late last week she seems to be having a hard time seeing.  I took her to the Vet this am. and she seems to be blind. she does have cataracts. So with the heart problem, not much can be done.  She knows her away around the house.. i think she may know..or sense where I am. She goes to her food dish, water bowl, and has even gone to the bedroom ( I have doggie steps  next to the bed.

She isn't in any pain. I take her out in the yard and she will wander around and do her business, she even finds her way back to the stairs.. I usually carry her up and down. Dr Kim said she thinks she will do fine. she is happy, eating and of course snuggling. Dr Kim did adjust some of her meds and she will be on and off antibiotics for awhile. 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

She is from a mating with our Male (who John bought for me) he is 16 and still going strong. we also have her brother from the same litter.also 15. There were 4 pups.  We got to see them when they were a day old.. of course didn't bring them home until they were 7 or 8 weeks old.

As long as she is not in pain, and still enjoying snuggling, eating, rides in the car I wil do MY very best to keep her happy and with me.

I was Very nervous going to the Vet this am... although not great news... not bad news either.

So no moving furniture or things around..

When she was 6 months old she had to have the head of the femur removed.. as it came out of the socket. She has the bone that "floats".. he one leg is a tad bit shorter, but it never stopped her from running or playing.  So now I am her care giver, making sure she gets her medications, nose drops and carryiing her outside to potty.

There is a photo of the 3 of them in my album.. she is the one with the "flying nun ears"...

Thank you God, for good lives and all the joys of my fur babies. :)

We had a cocker spaniel when I was a child that went blind. She lived a long time that way, she got around good. Well wishes to your little doggie!

Our fur babies do give us so much joy. I love my little Cloud and she is always with me.... she is curled up next to me as I type. I have lost two of the fur babies since Keith died, but Cloud is still going strong. Can't imagine not having a dog in the house now or ever.

As long as Molly is happy and able to get about then I would be doing just as you are and giving her as much love and snuggles as I could. xxxxx (((HUGS))) from me and a woof and lick from Cloud
