I found this online.
I’m not sure of the accuracy but it was all I could find.
It indicates that the number of widows vs. widowers is almost 4 to 1.
Just out of curiosity does anyone know if that is reflective of the this site’s membership?

I looked up US Census website 4 years ago when I began this journey and like you I found that we are definitely in the minority. If my memory is correct the statistic I found said 14% of the US population was widowed and of that 3% or 4% were men.
I made many virtual Widville friends and as you would expect the majority of these virtual friends are female. Some of my Widville inner circle of friends jokingly accused me of putting Hugh Hefner to shame ! LOL
The Widville lady who accused me later stood up with me when I got remarried.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Just an additional FYI ... I looked at our current Tampa Camp Registration. As of today, we have 223 registered. 191 widows, 28 widowers and 4 volunteers. So the ratio between widows/widowers is a little better than our Widowed Village stats: 6.8 to 1.
Less men have joined us than what that stat shows, but that's not terribly surprising to me.
If I look at all members since we started the Village back in 2010, it's about 9:1. When I just look at numbers for this past year, it has improved a little bit to about 7.5:1
