We're friends, not doctors, financial or legal professionals, and we're not "grief experts." But we are here, and we've been "there."

I had ordered a breast cancer bracelet to support the Susan G. Komen group and I received the package today.  The bracelet was in a light blue felt pouch and when I opened it I found the bracelet and a printed "Thank you" note with this quote:

"Promise me you'll always remember, you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.  But the most important thing is, even if we're apart, I'll always be with you.  - Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh" (author A. A. Milne)

Needless to say I started crying.  It's just over 5 months (5 months, 4 days - I don't think I'll ever lose count) since my Sweetie Monika passed away and I'm in a rough emotional patch right now.  I wasn't expecting that quote but I felt as if it was a little "nudge" from my Monika telling me that I can do this, I can go on.  And most importantly, she'll always be with me in mind, spirit and in our children Maia and Evan.

So I share this quote to all hoping that it can shine some light on you in those dark moments.

To share your pain with strangers makes you stronger and braver already.  Thank you for sharing.  I am so sorry for your loss. Keep your spirit light and remember the love.

Thanks for sharing this quote. It brought tears to my eyes. Have been feeling pretty dark and alone latelylately. Just going through the motions in life. I lost my fiance two months ago. I'm so sorry for your loss but thankful you were able to share that quote.
