Stuff I've written elsewhere that seems appropriate

I do not know how I got to be 53 years old without knowing John Prine, but, thanking my stars that I am now among the chosen.
I live in Atlanta but I have a kid out in San Antonio. Did I see where my new boyfriend has a gig out there in September or did I dream that? I must find a way to see him before either I get too old to care or he gets too old to remember the words to the songs that have carried me through the worst time of my life. That just can't happen.
Widowed last year, job relocation, and kid that needs to go to rehab. John Prine could not have happened to me at a better (or, worse) time.
Thanks all,
Sharon

Love of music can be a wonderful bond. My husband loved John Prine too. He had great taste in music--it was a common interest that was uncannily shared by us, that eclectic taste for swing, big band, singer songwriters of the 70's, 50's and 60's R&B, Soul, Leo Kotke, Gypsy jazz, Cajun, George Winston, Vangelis, whatever new music we found, we found we BOTH liked it. Groovin to Bob Will's band's Guitar Boogie. Wow, I will treasure those memories forever! Hope your music memories continue to give you joy!

My husband adored John Prine. Loved Music.  After almost 5 months I can finally listen to music again.
