Widowed Village

A community of peers created by the Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation

The day that you died

The sun came up

you did not

The birds began to sing

You did not

Others hugged me and they told me they loved me

You were silent, still, and peaceful

There was no more pain

No more daily fight for this life...

You had graduated to the next.

 The next day

the sun came up

and so did I

The birds began to sing

and so did I

I hugged others and they told me they loved you

I was not silent, nor still, nor peaceful

there was pain

I have this life to fight for...

Graduation is a long way off.

(((((Lori))))) so beautifully said. Bringing tears as I fight for this life. Just wish graduation wasn't so far off.
