Lark.....I just reread your last post.  The sentence "we widows are like walking nerve endings and we merit a bit of extra consideration " is so right on!

i don't beat myself about what I may or may not of said to offend someone anymore.  I can't.  It's too time consuming.  I apologize on the spot and that's all I can do.  I have friends and wonderful neighbors.  In fact, one friend of mine on the block and my 12 year old friend next door, spent 3 hours last week assembling my bookcase fireplace.  Wonderful day...we laughed and joked and really had a good time.  I just sat and watched, 'cause I have a problem with dizziness.

Enjoy your pups!!  I will take my dog to the market with me today....I always ask her if she wants to go in dad's car to the store. She gets sooo excited!

I wrote a reply yesterday , but, don't see it.  It's 4:54, but, this was pressing on my mind (another quirk I have?). Anyhow, I notice my friend has a lot of things and pets etc. etc. to keep her going.  One dog, two cats, two canaries and a turtle.  She also owns a small business. She loves music, old movies, eating at all the "hot spots". She just goes and goes.  The other day, when we went to lunch, I was hoping she'd call and cancel!

Today, another friend, is taking me to buy a fireplace tv stand.  Not in the mood, but, I'll go because she was nice enough to offer to go with me.

Have a nice weekend....keep busy...even if it's watching a good movie

Thank you Lark.....I like that idea of staying home with the dog (pups)

it was so hard on my family when we lost Jim, but, also, our dog.  She would go into "dad's office and just lay under his desk.  I'd be playing with her and a toy on the bed, then, she would stop...look down the hall for him to join us.  That was our regular routine.  She's better now..but, it was heartbreaking.  Another long day, but, I did go to lunch with a friend.  She lost her husband five months after I lost mine, but, she's very upbeat and funny and it's good for me to be around her.
