Yes, I never thought I would be on a site such as this, but life does not always turn out as we would like it to.

I actually started a meetup group in Portland, Oregon called Portland Area Widowed Singles 50+, for those of us over 50 who are widowed.  I started it last year and now have 60 members, of course waaaaaay more women than men, but I think men have aversions to joining groups..  Anyway, this group has been a great source of support but I am always looking for new friends, new ideas on meeting subjects, meeting places, etc.

I have been a widow since April 9,2008 - how about you?

It was fantastic to meet you !! My WWS groups will meet sat May 5 and I  definitely will rave about Camp Widow East. My golf buddies  non widowed said you were not upset you didn't play once every time I was ready to go then a downpour but no didn't miss it. Though next year I will put on a skort set.

  Am following up with Macy's the dress I wanted to wear sat night never came until Tues aft got a call from Marriott Myrtle Beach. Macy's guaranteed the dress would arrive no later than sat noon !! Marriott is shipping the dress to me for free. Yeaaah !!

Me too Brenda!   It was a great weekend.  All good, except for that crazy wet ride home, which also had it's perks :)

It was great meeting you too! Your session was one of the best all weekend.  Let me know if you ever come to DC or want an excuse.  It would be great to meet up again.
