You're right...it was Stage IV and had spread to his abdominal lining when it was discovered. He took Gemzar for 4 months. Ironically, my Dad was diagnosed with this cancer in 1994 only Stage I. He had the whipple procedure and survived 14 years. He was part of the experiemental Gemzar program at Johns Hopkins. They caught it so early with my dad though. He was very fortunate. He battled cancer two more times though. Glad you're here......
