When Billie had to lose his voice to paralyzed vocal cords and a tracheostomy, we learned American Sign Language. It meant so much to us, communicating that way, I love him so much for his fortitude; this became a lifeline, it was the only way for him to communicate when he was paralyzed, blind, and so limited, towards the end. This video is exquisite, to me. Precious.
