I wear a couple of Koni’s pierced earrings every now and then. I feel like I’m taking her with me when I am out in the world.

I carry our wedding rings in the smallest pocket of my purse, sometimes I just reach in and touch them to remind myself it was real.

I wear his t-shirts and boxers as my pajamas. I also have some of his ashes in a necklace that I wear around my neck. I also got a necklace for my 19 year old daughter so she has some of him with her up at college. I think he’d find it pretty neat that he was a “gift” at Christmas (his favorite holiday).

I too have our wedding rings on a chain. and wear some of his t-shirts/sweatshirts. His “totem” was the OWL and I have little stuffed owls around the house, one in the kitchen I throw a kiss to every time I pass it. I have pics of him around and some of his cards to me under magnets on my craft room door – so I see them every time I go through the door. One other thing I have continued is leaving him notes – written with a bar of soap – on the mirror.

HUGS to all of you who have shared

I am surprised to be the only one but I wear a lot of his clothes. It gives me strength. His strength. I wear his jeans, cargo shorts, board shorts, PJ, T-shirt, socks, belt… We were about the same size and we did wear each other clothing in the past but not as much or as often. It is good for me. At first I was so scared damage them but I am more relaxed about it now.

I often wear my husband’s wedding ring, either on a chain or overtop my own wedding ring. I’ve been told wearing my ring won’t “help” if I am trying to find a good soul to care for and be cared for in return but I am a floral designer. There is not a man on the planet shopping for flowers for anyone other than his own true love.
At some point I would like to buy jewelry that holds his ashes. He once gave me a charm bracelet and I have seen charms made specifically for this.
Occasionally I will wear one of Steve’s hoodies but I didn’t keep all the clothes as they would have been a constant reminder of his absence.

I wear a glass blown purple heart with some of my wife’s ashes in it. Purple was her favorite color. It keeps Christy close to me. I miss her so much. Just over a year since she has passed.

When we first met, I gave her a poem about Love I had found, and she had it laminated. She carried it in her wallet ever since. Now that she has passed, I now carry it.

Judith had a small homemade cuddly toy from her childhood. It’s been on the nightstand for the past 10.5 years. I no longer have a landline, but I kept the answering machine, because her voice is the message.

I haven’t been able to turn off his phone yet, and it is always in my purse. I have a necklace with some of his ashes that brings me some comfort.

    This is a great question!

I bought my husband a leather wallet some years ago and he loved that wallet.

I had the inside of it engraved with, “To Frank, the best husband money can buy.”

I still carry his wallet around with me in my purse just to have something of his close to me.

I also made a resin necklace with some of his ashes and a little silver angel. I made another one for our granddaughter too because she calls him her angel. She said, “My guardian angel lives in heaven and I call him PawPaw.” That is so sweet.

        Hi sweetalker,

        Thanks for your comment.

He thought it was pretty good too.

You never know when you do these things how important they will become later.

Yes. I wear his wedding rings on my right hand. I still wear my ring on my left hand. I also wear a pair of bracelets that he always wore until he got too sick & thin for them to stay on.
